Sweet and Lonely – Best Years (April 2021)

Sweet and Lonely is the project of Minneapolis artist Nick Elstad. Inspired equally by lofi, hip hop, indie, and pop, the project started as a way to try out new styles of writing and producing. Each of the singles that Nick has put out so far have all had their own sound and style, but "Best Years" became an Aha! moment. Daydreams of youth and long nights with friends have all become an overarching theme for Sweet and Lonely. The process of making this song was like an escape for Nick, hopefully listening to "Best Years" will do the same for you. "Best Years" was written and recorded at Nick's home in North Minneapolis where he lives with his wife, Leah, their dog, George, and two cats, Kerouac and Eleanor.
