JOIN THE CLUB Hailing from Kelowna, B.C., 23 year-old Walt Mudie seeks to express the ambiguity present in everyday life through melody, rhythm, & poetry in the recordings he releases as Wedding. Only since moving from British Columbia to Toronto in 2021 has Mudie begun performing live, in both Wedding and a number of other bands in the local underground scene. His 2025 release, "7 songs for tree climbing," is an exercise in juxtaposition, marrying sunbathed pop melodies with glacial electroacoustic textures - pitch-shifted trumpets, modulating cellos, and granular guitars.
